The internet has a short memory. I know these works were all over the net 3-4 years ago & Kim Joon is one of the most famous modern Asian artists, but I had them sitting on my computer since 07, so I thought they were worth displaying again.
HAIKU Art Review: Kim Joon

Kim Joon (김준) was born in Seoul, Korea in 1966.
He graduated with an M.F.A. in Painting from Hongik University in Seoul & is currently a professor of animation at Kongju National University.
He first investigated tattoo as a subject matter in the mid-1990s with three-dimensional sculpture before making use of off-beat techniques such as the 3D Studio Max software.
I love these prints & they were so popular world wide, but I found since this period Kim Joon has really been lost & searching for the next thing. He's been trying various iterations of this tattooed idea, however I've found them lacking the surprise & seduction of these pieces.
I hope he can find his way & come out with something fresh & exciting again. It must be quite a burden creating something that appeals to so many, so strongly & then for your next trick.. what do you pull out of your hat?
