Japanese-Irish American actress Nichole Bloom caught my attention in one of my fav shows, Shameless. I actually had no idea she was Asian, but it's nice to see her in a show about a white trash family in Chicago.

"How has your family reacted to your career?
My mom gets excited for me most. Her side of the family is all in Japan, so they don’t see anything I do. She won’t watch certain scenes I do more than once. It can be uncomfortable for her. She’s really a conservative, old-fashioned Japanese woman."
