In early 2016, Archan tasked himself with creating at least 1 artwork everyday for 365 days. In early 2017, he completed his self inflicted art marathon & most of the pieces here are products of that incredibly productive journey.
I was hoping Archan was documenting his massive effort of creating art daily for an entire year, but as far as I know the only evidence of his successful feat are his Facebook posts throughout 2016. It was certainly fascinating following his progress & impressive that so many of the works he produced were imaginative, fresh & beautifully composed.

"I never had any formal training in art, nor was I inclined towards drawing or painting while growing up. I began working in the fashion industry around 2002 when I joined my family’s apparel manufacturing company & around 2006 I started experimenting with visual art."

"There was a point of realization around 2007 when I knew that this was what I wanted to do all the time. So I called it quits for the day-to-day work at my company & started my beautiful journey as an independent artist. It was the most difficult & confusing decision I ever made, but it was definitely worth it!"

"When I practice yoga, in a half an hour I can get disconnected from the world & zoned out. It’s at that point that I can connect with the source. I start to feel what’s real & what’s illusion."

"Creating art is a natural extension of meditation for me & a way that I can tap into a psychedelic state naturally. It just takes patience. Psychedelic drugs tune your brain into that frequency instantly. We can tap into that naturally, but it takes longer. For me, it’s a choice, I don’t want to take a shortcut."

"It’s funny, when you find answers to some of the questions you’ve asked, you just find more questions. Your realize that the universe is designed in such a beautiful way, you come across the fractals, sacred geometry & mathematics. It never ends. It’s beyond a high to contemplate these things."
