   Yosuke Ueno was born in Japan in 1977. He has been building his world since a young child & had his first solo show in Yamaguchi, Japan in 1994 at the young age of 16. Ueno's work has shown with some of the most established galleries, including major exhibitions in his home country of Japan at the Shimoni-Seki Museum & Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. He recently had a solo show at Thinkspace Gallery

   "My hope for a piece is to complete itself beyond my imagination."

   "I sometimes say that artists are parallel to scientists. Scientists have no way of knowing the result of an experiment beforehand. The same can be said about creating art."

   Four colors; red, green, yellow, & blue appear in his works. These colors represent the four bases of DNA: Adenine, Thymine, Guanine & Cytosine, the molecular elements that all animate beings share. Yosuke uses these colors and ATGC to emphasize that all living entities should have equal worth.

   " My artworks are, so to speak, love letters towards things I care about.Here's some scent of my world you can catch. Hidden layers & contexts exist in the world, but please just enjoy peeping into my world."

   "There are many sources of my imagination around the world; culture, literature, music, movies, Art & girls... I'm always getting inspired by what I touch, & the experiences are expressed in my artwork."
