Felicia Chiao fills her brown recycled paper sketchbooks like they're visual diaries of her emotional states. An industrial designer by day, her pencil, marker & watercolor drawings seem to express a deeply personal side of this private artist.

ART: Dali Roll - Surreal Sensuality

Dali Roll (달리롤) - (35 Images)
Web  -  Facebook  -  Tumblr

South Korean artist Dali Roll (달리롤) creates digital dreamscapes erupting with symbols of female reproduction. Ovals, ova, eggs, & other vulvic shapes dominate her work. The cute, flat, comic style & cheerful colors contradict the obsessive angst of the subject matter. Her digital creations seem to channel cryptic cries from the feminine collective unconscious.

Tiger was born in Fukuoka in 1941.

In 1963, he submitted a large collage to the 15th Yomiuri Independent Exhibition, which received much attention. Subsequently he went on to be heavily influenced by Pop Art, which he aptly converted to address aspects of Japanese everyday life as well as the country’s current issues.
