Issei Sagawa murdered an innocent woman and spent three days eating her flesh.
"Maybe if we'd had dinner once more, I wouldn't have eaten her."
On the afternoon of June 13, 1981, a Japanese man named Issei Sagawa walked to a park on the outskirts of Paris, carrying two suitcases. The contents of those suitcases was the dismembered body of a fellow student -- a Dutch woman named Renée Hartevelt, whom Sagawa had shot three days prior and had spent the days since eating various parts of her body.
"I put my most favorite parts, like the thigh in the fridge."

Digital artist Yoshimi Ohtani from her very active FB page where she posts lots of art in progress & sketches
She draws illustrations of girls, expressing the essence of modern culture, such as the compromise between Japanese and Western styles. She presents “goth-loli” fashions, interpreting uniquely Japanese sensibilities such as wabi (passive demenor), sabi (elegant simplicity), kare (classic taste), and iki (traditional mindset) using modern methods.

In this blog I try to focus on Asian artists, but I will also examine white artists who comment on Asian society or use Asian imagery in their work.
The artist himself, Alain Delorme posing as in his Totem series

Describing himself as a “pixel surgeon”, Delorme uses digital photography and photomontage to play with digital imagery in the way a geneticist plays with genes.

Perfect DNA

Too beautiful 2
Thailand was first introduced to YaDech in Duang Jai Akkanee (Akkanee's Heart) part 2 of Ch3's epic 4 part Drama  4 Hua Jai Haeng Khun Khao.
Yaya was just a teenager & the lakorn was a sweet Romeo & Juliet story. Fai's (Nadech) family had a big farm  & Jeed's (Yaya) family owned a nearby dairy farm. Jeed's father was a hothead who hated Fai's father for taking the woman he loved, Fai's mother. Jeed's brother was a wild bully always looking for trouble.

They starred together in couple other lakorns, Game Rai Game Rak & Torranee Ni Nee Krai Krong, but couldn't really recapture the magic of Duang Jai Akkanee.
They've been working on a new lakorn called Roy Fun Tawan Deard (รอยฝันตะวันเดือ - The Rising Sun). It is an epic 2 part historical drama set in pre-WWI Japan. Mario Maurer will star in pt 1 & 'YaBarry' in pt2.
I believe it will air this summer on Ch 3.   (I can't wait!)
