"The Teacher's Diary (คิดถึงวิทยา)"
A film by Nithiwat Tharatorn (นิธิวัฒน์ ธราธร)
Siworae starred Jun Ji-Hyun (전지현) & Lee Jung-Jae (이정재) who also worked together in Thieves.
With so many relationships starting online over long distances the question of whether you can fall in love without meeting someone has become more relevant. I believe this is the appeal of this story, then to romanticize it they use hand written letters or a diary instead of keyboards.

The only relief to his lonely plight is the diary notes of "Ann" (Ploy - Chermarn), a former teacher who moved away but accidentaly left her personal memoirs behind. For Song, a connection is formed with Ann, born from the scribbles left behind in her diary. The more Song reads about Ann the more he is drawn to her and the notion of what it would be like to meet Ann in person.
A year later, the hand of fate brings Ann back to teach at the school, but unfortunately Song has already gone somewhere else. Ann finds her long lost diary with the hand written entries from Song in it. Song has written down his inner most heartfelt feelings about his life at the school in Ann's diary.
Ann now misses someone who she has never even met before.
The title of the movie in Thai; (คิดถึงวิทยา) translates to "Missing Wittaya".
