   Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Choi desperately dreamed of becoming an actor. Against his family's wishes, Choi left Purdue college to pursue his dream. He literally ran away from home for 5 years to train and study before moving to Los Angeles. Once in L.A., Choi hit the ground running. He was cast in an independent film during his first week and finished the year with appearances in 6 television series.
